August 1, 2008 (Carmel, IN) - Today JDF Development broke ground on a 26,450 square foot shopping center located next to the future Kohl's store at 3308 N. Wayne Street, Angola, IN. JDF Development closed on the property July 31, 2008 and the shopping center is scheduled for completion on December 1, 2008. The name of the shopping center will be Tri-State Commons.
"We feel we have designed a very upscale building for Angola, comprised of a steel frame, masonry, Quik-Brik accents, decorative awnings, and EIFS. Along with the tenants we have in place, we designed the building to accommodate a popular restaurant to occupy the endcap closest to the main road, equipped with a 1,000 square foot outdoor patio," said Joe Farr, owner of JDF Development. "The fact that we were able to secure tenants to occupy 60% of the shopping center, and secure attractive financing to build the shopping center in these challenging economic times is a testament to our slow growth and conservative approach," said Farr.
