JDF DEVELOPMENT CLOSES ON LAND IN LOGANSPORT, INDIANA


September 28, 2010 (Carmel, IN) – Today Logansport 2 LLC, an affiliate of JDF Development, purchased a four acre parcel from River of Life Christian Church in Logansport, Indiana according to an announcement made today by Joe Farr of JDF Development. The site is located adjacent to a new Wal-Mart Supercenter scheduled to open October 2010. Logansport 2 LLC plans to develop an 18,600 square foot shopping center on the parcel.

“We are pleased to announce that we were able to purchase this parcel next to such a great traffic generator as Wal-Mart with the access to our shopping center from Wal-Mart’s main entrance drive at a stop light,” said Farr. “Wal-Mart is currently under construction, building their latest 155,000 square foot store design, while we plan to begin construction immediately as we are currently 75% preleased with Maurices, Arnold’s Fine Jewelry and Gifts, Petsense, and Great Clips,” said Farr. “When I built a shopping center in Logansport in 2006, I realized that Logansport was the largest city in Indiana that was still operating a regular Wal-Mart. I then discovered that Wal-Mart was in fact looking for a site to build a supercenter store and the only viable location was behind the Logansport Mall. I approached the River of Life Christian Church as they owned some excess land adjacent to the new Wal-Mart site that was a no brainer for us to continue our strategy of developing quality shopping centers with quality tenants next to a big box retailer in a middle market town,” added Farr.
